LaunchPad.dll - Unwanted refresh in WIndows Explorer when mouse points to a PDF file.

The problem occured under Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Acrobat 9.2.0
Most of the time, when the mouse pointer was pointed to a PDF file in Windows Explorer, an unwanted
refresh of the directory occured, causing long file lists to jump back to the top, thus making it difficult
to scroll to the bottom files.
In ShellExVIew I first disabled all Adobe extensions, then re-enabled them one by one,
constantly monitoring Explorer's behavior. In the end, the "PDF Shell Extension" entry was
revealed as the culprit. I don't know what else this entry does, but there are no more refreshes now.

If you think that you have similar problem in your system, you can try to fix the problem by disabling the specified shell extension. In order to do that, simply follow the instructions below:

  1. Download and run the ShellExView utility from this Web page.
  2. Find the right shell extension according the details specified above.
  3. Select this shell extension and press F7 to disable this extension. After disabling the shell extension, check if the problem still occurs. If the problem still occurs, you should enable back the shell extension by pressing F8, and then try to search for another shell extension that might cause your problem.
