I am not sure whether it was just restarting the computer, or if really disabling this shell extension did the job, but after encountering the problem, disabling this extension as it was one of only two non-Microsoft shell extensions (besides Paint .NET extension which I trust), and then restarting the computer, the problem was solved.

- Download and run the ShellExView utility from this Web page.
- Find the right shell extension according the details specified above.
- Select this shell extension and press F7 to disable this extension. After disabling the shell extension, check if the problem still occurs. If the problem still occurs, you should enable back the shell extension by pressing F8, and then try to search for another shell extension that might cause your problem.
